Lief Essentials is a UK-focused cosmetics retailer specialising in natural, ethically sourced, 100% vegan products. The company launched in 2018 as an online business.
After a successful first couple of years, the team behind the brand felt they were ready to take the business to the next level. The existing ecommerce shop they had launched with was functional but offered limited scope for further growth.
Lief Essentials approached us with a brief to increase visibility of and traffic to its ecommerce site, with a view to ultimately boosting sales and revenue.
We initially held a round of talks with the client to establish their goals and put together a digital strategy for achieving them. This included carrying out thorough analysis of competitor sites and digital operations.
Based on this initial consultation, our recommendation was that the company would benefit from an upgrade to its online store. With the main objectives of improving the user experience, overhauling the design and increasing traffic through search and other channels, our team built a brand new ecommerce site on WooCommerce.
As increasing traffic to the site was a key objective, we worked with the Lief Essentials team to ensure that design, content and navigation were all fully SEO optimised, based on in-depth research. We supported this by launching a paid Google Ads campaign, as well as paid and organic social campaigns to boost the brand’s profile among its target audiences on social media.
Built on WordPress, WooCommerce has the advantage of offering an integrated, flexible content management system which makes it easy to keep product listings up to date, provides straightforward customisation and has the benefit of well-regarded SEO performance.
